Seven Years Without Writing

The last time I wrote here was in 2019, seven years ago. Stopping was a mistake.

My body of work since then: videos on the CortexFutura YouTube channel, a few blog posts on the CortexFutura blog, and a few tweets.

But generally I’ve been consuming much more than I’ve been creating.

I want to change that.

The upside of writing is just too good to give up on, on many levels. Making AI familiar with your thoughts is, imo, one of the biggest reasons to write publicly again. But also plain human connection: I admire how Stian has been writing consistently online on X about his explorations of new languages, of opera and classical literature and I want to mimic that.

The reason why I want to write here again is that I don’t want my thoughts to be lost in Xs algorithm, but to be a bit more permanent. The other reason is that here I know no-one is reading, at least for now, so I can just get back to writing and into the flow of things without any thoughts of an audience or “performance”.
